Who would be the
audience for your magazine?
My
target audience are young adults from the age of 16-25.

This
type of consumer stays loyal to the brands they shop, and stick with them
throughout their life. In the long term, this is a jackpot for businesses,
since they receive long term revenue benefits.
Generation
Z is keen to look after their money and make the world a better place. In a
quote by journalist Harry Wallop, he states, "Unlike the older Gen Y, they
are smarter, safer, more mature and want to change the world.
I
chose this age range as I felt like I can easily understand it as I am part of
it, being a young 16/17-year-old. Being part of this generation makes it much
easier for me to notice the differences between us and our parents or even our
older cousins. Generation Z is completely different from any other generation,
but not in a bad way. We see the change the world needs at this point and we
are willing to make that change and be the advocates for it.
Being
part of this Gen it made me realize the little things that we are interested in
but don’t find the world of media, such as magazines tailored to just us. At times,
I notice some of my fellow generation peers settling for mediocre magazines
that are either for people a little bit older than them or people slightly
younger than them. Most magazines made for us are being written by people much
older than us that don’t necessarily understand us or our needs. This creates a
misunderstanding and misconception and therefore making it less appealing to
us. Being part of this Gen made It easier to make something someone around my
age would like. I made something I personally would buy, something I know my
friends and people my age would be interested in.
